News

2012 is over and we are looking forward to the exciting year ahead.  Last year was a fantastic year for the farm.  All of the horses are doing well and we are so happy to have found wonderful homes for so many horses.  The Ocala show season is almost upon us.  Our horses and our boarders are busy training and getting ready to put their best foot forward.  We will be out and about and look forward to seeing everyone.  You can catch us at Longwood, the Florida Horse Park, Rocking Horse, Horse Shows in the Park, and the Williston Horsemen's Hunter Jumper Shows.  Best of luck to everyone.  And as always, let us know if you you are in the market for your next horse!

June 2010- We are so excited about Bridget's progress.  She has shown us just how much she wants to be a hunter.  On June 5th, Bridget went over to the RMI show and went around the 2'6'' course like a pro.  She was in the ticketed warm-up full of ponies and went right to work.  She has definitely found her calling!  Bucket is going well under saddle.  He is quite a looker.  We are really enjoying watching these two young horses develop their talent and hope to find them the perfect partners.

Winter 2010- It has been an unusually cold winter here at Camalou Farms, but all the horses are looking and feeling great.  We now have lights on our dressage ring, which come in quite handy for riding after work.  We have also added several new stadium jumps.  Camalou Farms is proud to offer several great home bred horses for sale.  Bridget, our Tb/Paint mare, went to her first show in February and was Walk/Trot/Canter Crossrail Champion!  This was only her second time ever to leave the farm since she was born.  Although she was bred to be an eventer, she has let us know that the H/J ring is where she belongs.  Check out the For Sale page for a video of Bridget and the other great horses we have for sale.
The event season is in full swing down here in Ocala.  We are  lucky enough to be very close to several of the top event show facilities- Rocking Horse, the Florida Horse Park, and Red Hills.  It has been alot of fun to take a quick drive to these events and watch.  HITS-Ocala is only 10 minutes away-last Sunday we spent the beautiful 72 degree afternoon watching the Grand Prix Jumpers.

JUNE 2007- Well, not too much going on during the summer months. We are working around the farm fixing things up. We have several new horses on the for sale page for you to look at. We will be at Poplar for the championships June 7th-10th. Will update with the results when we get back.

APRIL 2007- We have a new addition to our farm DILIGENT LAD (Dilly) was born on April 5th at 9:45 p.m. He is a huge full TB colt, and has an attitude to match. He will be able to do whatever we want him to do, he is very athletic. He looked to be chestnut when born, but his new hair around his eyes and muzzle are very dark. He may even turn gray (as his sire is) or a strawberry roan. His sire is Diligence and is dam is my TB Daring Lady. He has huge bone and looks to have more of a warmblood look to him. He has a killer trot and looks to be the most comfortable canter, he runs all day long!

NOVEMBER 2005 - Check out our new Past Events page!

MAY 2005 - We have had a few college students finish school and move on the their new careers, and we wish them all good luck. This in turn opens up a couple of stalls for new boarders. Please contact Stacey for more info.

We also have two new additions to our equine family. I bought two Thoroughbreds off the track in September of last year they are Won to Win and Zig a Little. You can see their pictures on the For Sale page. They are wonderful boys and are starting their new careers as future eventers or hunter/jumpers. They are also for sale. Keep checking back for info on their progress.

APRIL 2005 - On April 17th at 2:00 a.m., Camalou Farms welcomed a healthy colt by That's Our Buck out of Daring Lady. He is chestnut with 3 white socks and a large blaze. He looks to be one of our next eventers. He is very playful and loves attention. We have named him JUST BUCK-IT.
